How Often Should I Wash My Sheets, Towels, and Loungewear?
Nowadays we are spending more time staying in—lounging, working, zoom-ing, contemplating, sleeping—and are finding new meanings and appreciation for the home.
With staying clean and healthy continue to be a top priority for many, below are some tips on how often to wash your home linens & loungewear—so your bedroom and home can be a place of restful respite.
Bed Linens
Your sheets naturally accumulate dead skin cells, body oil, sweat, and dust mite during your sleep. It is best to wash sheets once a week to keep the bed clean. Pillowcases are recommended to be washed twice a week.
Bath Linens
Bath and hand towels should be laundered after 3 to 5 washes and hang to dry between use. Washcloths ought to be washed and air-dry after every use to prevent germs from growing on damp linens.
Loungewear
Pajamas and lounge clothes should be washed after 3 to 5 wears.
Note: For those who have asthma, allergies, or sensitive skin, it is best to increase the frequency of your laundering routine.
